Durham Advanced Motorcyclists (DAM) have won the IAM National Motorcycle Group Achievement award for 2015.
The award was presented to long standing members (& Group Chairman & Secretary), Brian Clements & Bill McCready at the The IAM national Motorcycle Conference at Birmingham on Sunday and is a tremendous recognition by IAM of the work done voluntarily by group members to promote road safety & improve the riding standards of local riders. .
The group was formed in February 1995 at Police HQ & officially ‘launched’ at the first BikeWise show on the 8th May 1995 and has grown & grown year on year, eventually splitting to form Northumberland Advanced Motorcyclists (NAM as well as our own DAM.
Numerous accolades have been bestowed on the group over the years, but this is the second time in three years that DAM has won this national award.
As they enter into their next decade it is hoped that present & future members will continue to maintain the standards of the club over the coming years.
