James get’s a 2nd in the Scottish Mini Bike Championship

BikeWise Mini Bike Club’s, James Alderson,9yrs travelled from his home at Esh Winning, to Larkhall in Scotland with his Mam & Dad (Michelle & Stephen) to compete in round 7 of the 8 round Scottish Mini Bike Championship.

The early start was well worth it, despite the bad weather, James, rode well to obtain his best result to date, of a second position in the Junior A Class.

With one round left, on the 14th November at Kartstart, Kircaldy James is looking like finishing third overall in the championship and could well win the Novice of the Year title.

Katie finishes 11th in Auto 66 club championship

BikeWise Mini Bike Club’s Katie Williamson, from Darlington, has just finished her first season of racing with the Auto 66 Club in their 2010 Clubmans Challenge Road Race Championships.

Katie was able, after obtaining her ACU Race licence,  to participate in five of the eleven round Formula 125 championship on her Aprilia 125 and finished a fantastic 11th out of 22competitors.

Katie is already planning with her dad, Stuart and Mam, Hazel for next years championship and now that she has learnt a couple of the tracks is expecting to improve on her points tally.

HM Plant Honda win BSB Championship

Congratulations to all our friends at HM Plant Honda Racing who yesterday secured their third British Superbike Championship crown at Oulton Park. Ryuichi Kiyonari took three sensational victories in the final triple-header race event of the season. Team-mate Josh Brookes made it an HM Plant Honda one-two in the standings as he took a double podium finish and Honda claimed the Manufacturers' Championship.

BikeWise has been supported over the years by local Hebburn based HM Plant Ltd and it’s CEO John Jones. Their support of the Honda Racing team has brought them this years well deserved success with a Championship one / two with riders Ryuichi Kiyonari & Josh Brookes and the success couldn't have happened to a nicer person than team manager Havier Beltran.

Congratulations from the BikeWise ‘team’ and ‘roll on’ 2011 season (Provisional date for Croft 2011 is 15th May)
